xx top vinyl chart for 2012

Vinyl sales grew again in 2012 by 15.3%, according to figures released by record label trade body the BPI and the Official Charts Company last week, though that equates to 389,000 units overall, so don’t be thinking the good old fashioned music format is becoming mainstream again or anything.
The xx had the best selling vinyl album of the year, while a David Bowie re-release came in second, with Jack White’s ‘Blunderbuss’ in third place. And if you’re interested, and surely you all are, Travis still have the best selling vinyl album of the century. Here’s some top tens courtesy of the OCC…
