Toro Y Moi names new record
By CMU Editorial | Published on Thursday 11 October 2012
Chaz Bundick, who’s been releasing under his dance alias Les Sins of late, has just confirmed details of a new LP credited to his original moniker, Toro Y Moi. ‘Anything In Return’, as it’s to be titled, will arrive via Carpark Records on 21 Jan.
And Bundick has been speaking about his design for the new Toro Y Moi long player, the sequel to last year’s lauded ‘Underneath The Pine’, to Interview Magazine. He’s quoted as saying: “I was trying to make a pop record. People will be like, ‘What is he doing?’ I’m just trying to make sincere pop music that’s not all processed and bubblegum. Underground isn’t always relevant; I want to see what’s popular, then put my own spin on it”.
