Solange starts saintly, Sony-affiliated label, new LP on its way

So, I said yesterday that Solange (Knowles) has signed to Sony/Columbia, but that isn’t totally – contrary to the title of Solange’s 2012 EP – ‘True’. Whilst it’s a fact that she’s officially now a Sony-signed artist, Solange has retained her ‘alt status’ by revealing her tba new LP will be released via her new vanity label, Saint Records. Nice.
Clarifying all that via Twitter, Solange explained: “Super stoked to announce I’ve started my own label, Saint Records, where I’ll be releasing my music and other projects distributed through Sony!”
She added: “Through Saint Records I will have 100% creative/artistic control and continue to passionately pursue my footing in this new musical movement”.
