Parent Television Council not impressed with Ke$ha’s piss drinking

Long-awaited footage of Ke$ha drinking her own urine on her new MTV show, ‘My Crazy Beautiful Life’, is finally due to air in the US next Tuesday night. I think it’s fair to say, everyone is looking forward to it. Especially the Parent Television Council, an organisation that stands as a self-appointed leader of outrage.

The organisation sent out a letter to its members this week, alerting them to the fact that there was a looming opportunity to be outraged by some “disgusting, vile content”.

Opening with possibly the funniest sentence ever written, the letter asked: “Why should we have to pay for this kind of garbage just so we can get access to Discovery, Disney or The Golf Channel? It’s outrageous – and it shouldn’t be that way. Consumers deserve choice. We should all have the ability to choose and pay for only the channels we want to watch … but the cable industry won’t let that happen without a fight”.

Presumably all the recipients of that letter will now be tuned into MTV next week to see this thing they don’t want to see, at which point they may discover that Ke$ha sampled her piss on health ground. Possibly. Well, she told the BBC earlier this year: “I was told drinking my own pee was good… Somebody tried to take my pee away from me and I said, ‘That is mine!’ So I snatched it up and took a chug and it was really gross so I don’t do it any more”.

See, it’s educational. The PTC should be praising Ke$ha for her important work.
