Live Nation reports good summer
By Chris Cooke | Published on Thursday 8 August 2013
Live Nation is heading towards a “record summer”, or so says the firm’s boss man Michael Rapino, during a investors call in which he revealed that revenues at the live music promoter, venue owner and ticketing giant were up 8.3% year on year to $1.7 billion in the quarter to the end of June, with net income of $59 million above analyst expectations.
Added Rapino, according to the Wall Street Journal, “we saw continued strong consumer demand for the live business over the past quarter, and further accelerated our top line growth by continuing to build share in our concerts and ticketing businesses”. Storming.
