Pyramid Vritra

Lesser known Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All collaborator and NRK collective member Hal Williams has previously been heard as part of The Jet Age Of Tomorrow and Super 3, but is now stepping out alone as Pyramid Vritra. His debut album under this moniker, ‘The Story Of Marsha Lotus’, is due out via Stroll On Records on 21 Nov.

On the album, Williams delivers spacey electronic production, and is not adverse to taking sudden sharp turns. The fifteen minute title track, which opens the album, has this in spades, switching pace and tone at regular intervals to fit the mood of fellow his slow stream-of-consciousness rapping. More succinct, and located right at the opposite end of the record, is an untitled bonus track, featuring fellow NRK-er KC 2.0, which suggests that the album as a whole will be something well worth checking out.
