Petite Noir, aka South African musician Yannick Ilunga, released his debut single ‘Till We Ghosts’ through Bad Life back in August, quickly picking up attention in the UK from The Guardian, Dazed & Confused, Radio 1xtra and more. Also a member of electro duo Popskarr, Ilunga’s solo work is similar in many ways to that project’s anguished pop, but with a far more stripped down, otherworldly feel.
Due to support Foals on their upcoming tour dates, you can also catch a Petite Noir headline show at Cargo in London on 6 Dec. His second single, ‘Disappear’, is due for release on 10 Dec, and you can watch the video for it here now:
