Cobblestone Jazz

Newish Bethnal Green venue Oval Space continues to have a rather interesting programme of events, and next Thursday it plays host to Cobblestone Jazz playing live as well as FaltyDL and James Priestley DJing.

The Cobblestoners hail from Canada and are an electronic music trio made up of Mathew Jonson, Danuel Tate and Tyger Dhula. They create jazz influenced electro-tech montages, which sit in a niche between bedroom and dancefloor.

FaltyDL, meanwhile, has a growing rep as one of electronica’s hot live prospects. His live performances move dancefloors (and minds), mixing rave to bass and house to tech seamlessy. This beatster has soul – just check his brilliant ‘You Stand Uncertain’ and the recently released ‘Hardcourage’ LP out on Ninja Tune.

James Priestley adds his DJing skills to the mix – the secretsundaze honcho will be taking us to deep house and quality techno pastures.

Thursday 7 Mar, Oval Space, 29-32 The Oval, London, E2 9DT, 8pm – midnight, £15 adv, more info from here.
