Approved: Bleeding Heart Narrative
By Andy Malt | Published on Tuesday 23 October 2012
Bleeding Heart Narrative have been a reasonably regular fixture in the Approved column over the last couple of years, but this will sadly be my last chance to put them here. As recently reported, the band have decided to split. However, the split also brings with it a farewell album and gig, which are things to get excited about. So let’s get on with doing that.
The band will play their final show at The Victoria in Dalston on Wednesday night. Entry is free, which gives you even less excuse not to turn up. BHN’s blend of classical music, baroque pop and post-rock is an amazing thing to witness live and in recent months they seem to have hit a real high point in the construction of their performances.
Their final album, ‘Caveats’, is also available now via Bandcamp on a ‘name your price’ basis (starting with free). Its twelve tracks capture some recent live favourites and show why it’s such a shame that they’ve decided to split up. Still, with this album and, if all goes to plan, the gig tomorrow, it’s nice to see them go out on a high.
