Eyve, the Zimbabwean singer-songwriter and rapper based in Glasgow, has an energising uniqueness to her sound. With vocals that transition seamlessly from softness to raw intensity, Eyve is able to fuse her Zimbabwean heritage with contemporary influences, blending hip hop, trap and jazz with traditional African rhythms.
In her recently released EP, ‘Sista! Beyond The Sky Isn’t The Limit’, Eyve draws upon her life experiences of enduring and conquering social and political issues. As a passionate advocate for gender equality and inclusivity, particularly for women and non-binary individuals, Eyve writes lyrics to “speak to a new synergy of listeners who are looking for music that reflects their values and experiences”.
