Andy Malt became Editor of CMU in October 2009, having joined the company in April 2008. Leading the title ever since, he has overseen the expansion of both the CMU Daily and the CMU website, as well as the launch of CMU Premium and the CMU Podcast. As part of the CMU team, he is also an advisor on the programming of CMU Insights @ The Great Escape.

Prior to joining CMU, Andy spent a decade in various guises in the music industry. He kicked off what was to become his career with a fanzine, Indigo Flow, while still at school, moving the operation online while mainstream internet use was still in its infancy. He then spent years unsuccessfully trying to think of a better name for it before celebrating its tenth anniversary by shutting it down.

After leaving university, he launched and ran an independent record label, Human Recordings, and enjoyed a brief stint as a roadie.

He also works as a freelance writer and copywriter for various music and tech companies and publications, and regularly provides independent comment on music and the music industry for outlets including Sky News, Wired and the BBC.

Chris Cooke is MD and Business Editor of CMU, which he co-founded in 1998. Chris writes for CMU’s media, co-hosts the podcast, curates and presents CMU Insights @ The Great Escape, and leads the company’s education programme and consultancy business.

CMU is part of Chris’s company 3CM UnLimited, through which he also publishes cultural recommendations service ThisWeek London, its sister magazine ThreeWeeks Edinburgh and the TW:TALKS podcast; and helps run award winning PR training charity the Taylor Bennett Foundation.

With degrees in English and Law, Chris regularly writes about, discusses and comments on media and media law, music and comedy, and the music and communication industries. He authored the report ‘Dissecting The Digital Dollar’ for the UK’s Music Managers Forum and occasionally performs spoken word show ‘Chris Cooke’s Free Speech’.

Sam Taylor has worked on various projects with UnLimited Media since 2001, initially focused on the company’s ThreeWeeks Edinburgh title before becoming involved in CMU and other UnLimited ventures.

He currently leads on the commercial side of UnLimited Media, overseeing advertising sales and sponsorship for its various publications. He also advises the CMU Insights training and consultancy business and inputs into the programming of the CMU Insights @ The Great Escape conference.

Aside from his UnLimited work, Sam is involved in a variety of other projects. He has worked in and around the music, marketing and digital businesses for over fifteen years, helping leading entertainment companies and brands communicate more effectively online, and leading and advising a number of technology start-ups. He also has hands-on experience working on music and marketing projects involving artists, labels, brands and media.

An experienced trainer, Sam also provides his practical experience in the music, media and digital sectors, and his entrepreneurial thinking, at conferences and elsewhere.

Caro Moses has been a director of 3CM UnLimited and UnLimited Media since 2002, having worked on and directed media and arts projects for UnLimited since 1996. She was actively involved in CMU on an editorial basis from 2002 to 2007, contributing articles daily from 2005. She continues to play a management role over the title as Co-Publisher.

Caro is also Co-Editor of UnLimited’s ThreeWeeks Edinburgh title, the longest established bespoke magazine at the world’s biggest cultural festival, which she has led since 2001. She also heads up UnLimited’s newest media platform ThisWeek London, and writes the Caro Meets interviews.

Caro also inputs on 3CM UnLimited’s education and consultancy projects, including its work with the Taylor Bennett Foundation, the award winning programme which is enabling more diversity in the PR industry.

Caro has also worked on a wide range of other editorial and performance projects over the years, as a writer, sub-editor, producer, playwright, actress and director.
