Former Avex exec Lucas Thomashow launches new label

Former Avex USA exec Lucas Thomashow has launched new record label SANA in partnership with artist and label services company Santa Anna and Conor Ambrose-founded indie label Listen To The Kids.

"I'm extremely excited to be partnering with two amazing labels and teams. Conor and Listen To The Kids are an innovative organisation whose ideals align with SANA’s philosophy”, says Thomashow.

Meanwhile, Santa Anna chiefs Todd Moscowitz and Lee L'Heureux “are building something very unique … and their team is an inspiration by how they move quickly, and strategically”.

Moscowitz and Lee L'Heureux add: "Lucas has an entrepreneurial mindset and we're impressed with everything he has built at Avex. We're excited about partnering with SANA to bring the power behind the next generation of up and coming artists”.

And Ambrose says: "Lucas's outside of the box thinking and original approach to the music industry makes him an incredible partner for us to build a new label”.

Avex USA is the American offshoot of Japanese major label Avex. Thomashow joined the company in 2020 overseeing the launch of frontline label Selene, among other things.

SANA is set to get fully up and running in the new year, with plans to expand into artist management and publishing.
