Xtra Mile announces US distribution deal
By CMU Editorial | Published on Thursday 12 April 2012
UK indie label Xtra Mile has announced a new US distribution deal with the Independent Label Group. ILG will handle all of the label’s releases in the US, beginning with the new Future Of The Left album, ‘The Plot Against Common Sense’ on 12 Jun.
Xtra Mile MD Charlie Caplowe told CMU: “Xtra Mile has been looking for the right distribution and marketing deal in North America for a while; Kenny Weagly and the team over at ILG were exactly what we were looking for to launch the label and great artists into this key territory for us. We’re over the moon about finalising the deal and can’t wait to get cracking! We are fully charged to continue growing the band on the American side of the pond”.
Kenny Weagly from ILG added: “Everyone here at ILG is excited to have Xtra Mile join our family of labels. We respect what Charlie Caplowe and Xtra Mile have been building in the UK, and are looking forward to helping them continue to grow the label and their associated artists in North America”.
