As is the way in the US industry at the moment, the Warner Bros label Stateside announced a couple of new dance music appointments last week, though without mentioning ‘EDM’ or ‘EMC’ once, which means we now like Warner Bros Records.

Taryn Haight becomes Director Of Dance Marketing & Artist Relations, having most recently worked at Sony-allied dance label Ultra Music, while Lauren Lipsay, who has worked on dance music content at a variety of media, becomes Manager Of Dance Marketing. They will support the development of US-based dance music talent, as well as international Warner-signed dance acts who are being marketed Stateside.

Warner Bros CEO Cameron Strang told CMU: “It is our mission to seek out creative excellence wherever it lives, regardless of genre. The level of innovative and exceptional talent within the burgeoning dance music scene is extraordinary, and we continue to deepen our commitment to this rapidly evolving sphere. I am thrilled to welcome Taryn and Lauren to the WBR team”.
