Vigsy’s Club Tip: Simbad & Seiji + Warren Xclnce – Record Store Day After Party @ Junction House
By Paul Vig | Published on Friday 21 April 2017
I am trusting that you have all remembered that tomorrow is Record Store Day? Good. Well, here is a special party designed to celebrate all that high street record buying, with two masters of cool beats coming together – Simbad and Paul Dolby aka Seiji.
Groovester Simbad has worked with Gilles Peterson on his Brownswood label, has a fair few remixes to his name on Defected, Raw Fusion and Freerange, to name a few, and is also known for his critically acclaimed 2008 album ‘Supersonic Revelation’.
Tonight he’ll be joined by Bugz In The Attic main player, DJ and remixer extraordinaire, the accomplished cellist Seiji. All in all, this should be a great lesson in quality beats and soulful grooves.
Pattern Sounds – who are the trio of Selassie, Yomi and Wardo – play host to room two with special guest Warren Xclnce joining them. A fine way to end off this year’s Record Store Day.
Saturday 22 Apr, Junction House, 578 Kingsland Road, London, E8 4AH, 10pm-2am, £8 adv, more info here.
