Vigsy’s Club Tip: Phonica Twelfth Birthday at Oval Space
By Paul Vig | Published on Friday 11 September 2015
It’s an all-dayer at Oval Space to celebrate Soho record shop Phonica’s twelfth year in the game, featuring François K, aka François Kevorkian, who has been DJing ever since the mid-1970s, starting out at Studio54 in NYC. Still cutting it, he released a much lauded compo for the Renaissance series a couple of years ago.
Other highlights of the line-up include Moritz von Oswald (aka Maurizio / Basic Channel) and the Parisian deep house don DJ Deep. Also playing will be Shed, Nummer Live, GE-OLOGY, Roi Perez and, of course, the Phonica DJs.
Sixteen hours of fun and frolics. Let’s hope that Indian summer arrives to make use of Oval Space’s terrace.
Saturday 12 Sep, Oval Space, 29-32 The Oval, Bethnal Green, London, E2 9DT, 2pm-6am, £20. More info here.
