Vigsy’s Club Tip: Outlier and Deep Into Soul

Bonobo

CMU Editor Andy Malt is off ill this week, so I’m going to try and sneak through two tips and pretend it’s one, even though I’m sure that breaks the rules. But, you see, it’s hard to choose between these two events, and I reckon you can make it to both.

First up, Bonobo curates a new all-day event called Outlier at Tobacco Dock in Wapping with three rooms of music and the likes of Gilles Peterson, Maya Jane Coles, Lone and Lapalux DJing. Bonobo himself will provide the headline set, as well as a custom soundscape installation specially for this show.

After all that, head due south to Brixton’s Prince Of Wales where Deep Into Soul celebrates its fifth anniversary with London’s finest disco house guru, the much tipped (here) Z Records boss Joey Negro. New York’s Frankie Feliciano is also flying in for an exclusive set, making this a definite recommend.

So, double the Club Tip fun. Just don’t tell Andy I broke the rules.

Outlier, 12 Mar, Tobacco Dock, Tobacco Quay, Wapping Ln, London E1W 2SF, midday-10.30pm, £43-65, more here.

Deep Into Soul 5th Anniversary, 12 Mar, The POW, 467 Brixton Road, Brixton, SW9 8HH, 10pm-6am, more here.
