Universal Publishing signs Robbie Williams songwriters
By CMU Editorial | Published on Friday 9 November 2012
Flynn Francis and Tim Metcalfe, two 24 year-old Australian songwriters most famed/maligned for authoring eight tracks on Robbie Williams’ new solo LP, ‘Take The Crown’, have been signed by Universal Music Publishing. It’s an international deal, with the exception of Australia and New Zealand, so that’s nice.
“We are thrilled to be a part of the Universal Music Publishing family and can’t wait to forge a successful partnership”, say the duo in unison.
Robbie Williams, meanwhile, adds: “How fortunate for me that Tim and Flynn came into my life – as vital and as good as any writers I’ve worked with. I look forward to watching their careers going from strength to strength… I love the little bastards”.
