And the Bizarre Booking Of The Week Award goes to… Rookie for hiring Thom Yorke and Nigel Godrich as agony uncles.
The Atoms For Peace members (and Radiohead collaborators) were brought in to preside over the ‘Ask A Grown Man’ section of the American website, in which middle aged men advise the site’s teenage girl readership on their love lives (previous contributors include Jimmy Fallon and Judd Apatow). Not something you can imagine happening in the UK’s current media climate, but over in the US it’s all fine, and the duo’s advice is delivered with a gentleness and pragmatism that will either warm your heart or disappoint you, depending on what exactly you were hoping to get out of this.
