TheeSatisfaction announce split, Cat Harris-White releases debut solo album

Hip hop duo TheeSatisfaction have announced that they are splitting up, in a statement published earlier this week.
“After seven years of creating, touring, pushing boundaries and breaking through glass ceilings, TheeSatisfaction has decided to end the group”, they said. “We have decided to grow and take our individual careers to the next level. Having been on the road every year since our first with very few breaks, it is time for us to rest, reflect and grow independently”.
When will that happen? Well how about right now? The duo’s Cat Harris-White released her debut solo album, ‘No More Weak Dates’, as SassyBlack yesterday. The album’s title received a last minute change from the original ‘No More Lame Dates’.
“After several practise sessions, it didn’t feel right singing the word lame”, says Harris-White of the decision. “I also became increasingly aware of how it may be interpreted as a slur to the disabled communities, so I made the decision to re-record the title track and change my album title”.
