Writer/producer The-Dream, aka Terius Nash, who has worked with everyone from Bieber to Beyonce to Mary J Blige, has been appointed as VP of A&R for Universal’s Def Jam division in the US.
In his new role, Nash “will have a comprehensive, broad reaching A&R portfolio”, working alongside Island Def Jam CEO Barry Weiss and IDJ Head Of A&R Karen Kwa, amongst others. He will also continue to head up his own label Radio Killa Records, already distributed by Def Jam.
According to Billboard, Nash says of his new job: “Music means more than just a download, it’s life to the culture and also the people who listen. This is a new exciting yet critical time for music – ‘You Meet Change with Change!'” So that’s nice.
