Take That

Take That’s eight night run at Wembley Stadium, which finished earlier this month, has been declared the highest grossing concert series of all time by Billboard Boxscore. The band brought in £38 million during the residency, playing to a reported 623,737 gullible fools, I mean appreciative fans (which is also a new record).

The biggest concert residency record was previously held by Bruce Springsteen, who earned £24 million over ten nights at the Giants Stadium in New Jersey in 2003. But poor old Springsteen isn’t even in second place now, as Take That have also taken the number two spot with their eight show run at the City Of Manchester Stadium.

In total, the band’s current tour has grossed £114 million, which just goes to show what a shrewd move it was to get Robbie Williams back on board.
