Spotify launches new app for artists
By Andy Malt | Published on Friday 13 October 2017
Spotify has launched a new app for artists to track how their music performs on the streaming service. It’s called Spotify For Artists, which isn’t very imaginative. But who needs to be imaginative when you have data?
Currently only available for iOS devices, it provides a number of tools and services, including information on listeners and streams, as well as allowing artists to manage their own presences on the public-facing Spotify platform. For the first week after a new track goes live on the service, the app will also provide real-time listening data.
Artists already verified with Spotify can start using the new app straight away. If you’re not verified and you want to play around with it, get signed up here.
