Sony Music announces alliance with TEN Music

Sony Music has announced a new alliance with Swedish music company TEN Music Group, which has label, publishing, studio and management sides to its business, and works with artists like Icona Pop and Niki & The Dove.
Through the partnership, Sony will provide TEN with office facilities in London, LA and New York, and will have the option to handle international releases of artists signed to the Swedish firm. Confirming the new deal, Sony Music top man Doug Morris told reporters: “The team at TEN Music understands artist development and they have proven they know how to successfully identify talent with global appeal. We are delighted to welcome TEN to the Sony Music family as we further grow our creative business around the world”.
Meanwhile TEN CEO Ola Hakansson added: “We are delighted to be a part of the Sony Music family and to have the opportunity to establish the first ever Swedish record company in US”.
