Songs signs The Weeknd

US-based independent publisher Songs has announced a worldwide co-publishing agreement with Abel Tesfaye, who you and your mum almost certainly know better as The Weeknd. The deal, which includes both past and future work, comes as the producer releases his new album ‘Kiss Land’.
Confirming the new deal, Songs boss Matt Pincus told reporters: “At Songs we invest in people and we invest in music. On both counts we couldn’t have done better than Abel. He could have signed anywhere and it’s a tremendous honour that he has chosen to make his home at Songs”.
