Approved: Trailer Trash Tracys (SNAP Of The Day)
By CMU Editorial | Published on Thursday 3 September 2009
London three-piece Trailer Trash Tracys make a fine line in 60s-pop-meets-white-noise, with plenty of My Bloody Valentine guitar shards throughout their music, spirited by the ethereal sound of Cocteau Twins. ‘Candy Girl’ is their debut single, a woozy, glacial drone layered with spiky bass and an undulating, somewhat soporific melody. It’s being released by No Pain In Pop on 14 Sep, the label behind the excellent Banjo Or Freakout, while they also have dates lined up with Young Turks’ The XX and a (shoe gaze-obsessed label and gig promoters) Sonic Cathedral headline slot.
