Sky Ferriera and DIIV’s Zachary Cole Smith arrested on drugs charges

Sky Ferreira and DIIV frontman Zachary Cole Smith were arrested at the weekend on a variety of charges, including possession of heroin and ecstasy, it has emerged.
The Daily Freeman reports that the pair were stopped by police after the pickup truck they were travelling in, driven by Smith, broke several traffic rules.
A police check showed that the licence plates on the truck were stolen and that Smith was wanted by police in relation to a previous violation of traffic laws. Smith was also found to be carrying 42 small bags of heroin, while Ferriera was found to be in possession of ecstasy.
In all, Smith was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, one count of possession of stolen property and one count of aggravated unlicensed driving. He was released on $2500 bail. Ferriera was charged with possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest, and released on $1500 bail.
