Elton John

In one of the most natural fits for a star/print-publication pairing since @rustyrockets and the New Statesman, Sir Elton John is to serve as the first ever guest editor-in-chief of Clash Magazine, taking over its February edition.

Beginning with an Editor’s Letter, Sir Elton will go on to give his thoughts on new music, and the industry behind it. The issue’s cover story will be a behind-the-scenes history of John’s ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’ LP, which turns 40 this year, including quotes and input from its surviving writers and contributors.

The mag will also feature a six-page photo spread of some of John’s seldom-seen costumes, and a discussion with his long-time designer Annie Reavey. The issue will hit shelves on 6 Feb.
