Sharon Osbourne set for X-Factor return
By Chris Cooke | Published on Tuesday 19 March 2013
Despite Tulisa insisting last week that no decisions had been made about whether or not she will return as a judge on the next series of ‘The X-Factor’, The Sun is still convinced that the one-time N-Dubber has definitely been axed. And, says the tab, it is now almost certain that Sharon Osborne will return to the talent show mediocrity in Tulisa’s place as Syco and ITV bosses try to overcome the slip in ratings that has occurred in recent years.
Claiming ‘X’ chief Simon Cowell was now “not looking at anyone else” for the judging role, the tabloid cites sources as saying “Simon is a huge fan of Sharon, things are looking good for her. She is in pole position”. Another contender for the vacant judging panel spot was Mel B, who has worked on other Cowell shows around the world and who previously guested as a judge on ‘X Factor UK’, but she is now committed to the ‘Got Talent’ franchise in both the US and Australia, making an ‘X UK’ stint impossible schedule wise.
