Sarah Brightman to visit International Space Station

Singer Sarah Brightman is to become the seventh person to join the elite club of space tourists, and while she’s up there she plans to beat the likes of ZZ Top and Muse to the prize of being the first musician to perform in space.
After completing her next tour in 2013, Brightman will embark on six months of training with the Russian space agency Roscosmos before heading to the International Space Station at a yet to be announced date. At a press conference in Moscow yesterday, she said: “This voyage is a product of a dream, my dream. Finally it can be a reality. I am more excited about this than anything I have done in my life to date”.
