Sacha Baron Cohen out of Freddie Mercury biopic

Sacha Baron Cohen has quit the Freddie Mercury biopic he has been due to star in since 2011, according to Deadline.
The website reports that Cohen wanted to make a gritty tell-all type of film, while the surviving members of Queen are pushing for a more family-friendly affair.
The comedian’s manager confirmed to Variety that the reason for the split was “creative differences”.
