Queen and Adam Lambert to play big Big Ben-adjacent NYE party
By Aly Barchi | Published on Tuesday 2 December 2014
Queen and Adam Lambert will play their (Queen’s) hits at a special, ticketed New Year’s Eve show at Central Hall Westminster near Big Ben in London, and hey, it’s even going to be screened live on TV. This follows a similar-ish event, the ‘Big Ben Bash Live’, that Gary Barlow headlined last year.
The inventively-titled ‘Queen & Adam Lambert Rock Big Ben Live’ shall be presented by BBC Radio 1 DJs Greg Hames and Gemma Cairney and shown on BBC One, coinciding with coverage of the River Thames fireworks, and all that jazz. Tickets are available now, with prices starting at a reasonable £118.15.
And it’s now time for the world’s driest pre-show comment from Roger Taylor, who says: “I never imagined we would be around to usher in the year of 2015, what a thrill! We promise you a great night”.
And now basically the same from Queen’s official work experience boy, Adam Lambert: “Words can’t describe how excited I am, we are going to kick off 2015 in style!”
And finally, it’s Brian ‘CBA’ May, who literally did not have the time or the inclination so say any more than: “OK – let’s rock into 2015!”
OK.
