Production Music Awards return
By Chris Cooke | Published on Tuesday 1 August 2017
Organisers of The Production Music Awards have announced that The Production Music Awards, which are, erm, awards for production music, will return in November alongside Tune Up, a day of sessions for musicians and composers on making music to soundtrack telly shows and movies and such like.
MCPS Production Music is the flagship sponsor of the event, though there are other music industry outfits and organisations sponsoring elements of the show. Go on Spotify, dare you to sponsor the Best Chill Out Award. I don’t think there is one, but they could set one up. It would annoy people. It would be funny.
Meanwhile the production music wing of mechanical rights society MCPS is THRILLED to be supporting the 2017 PMAs. Look, here is Simon James, Head Of MCPS Production Music. He says: “Last year’s PMAs were a triumph and we’re THRILLED to continue our support of this positive event, showcasing the fabulous, high quality music our industry consistently produces”.
