Independent music distributors [PIAS] have announced the launch of a new division which will look to pursue opportunities in the brand and advertising sector for the artists they represent.
According to a press statement, [PIAS] Sync & Brand will “present and secure integrated sync and brand opportunities for its clients with partners ranging from games platforms to broadcasters, film house to TV production companies, consumer brands to creative media agencies. They will all benefit from a co-ordinated service that is fortunate to represent some of the leading independently owned repertoire on the market”. The new service will be headed up by Jemma Skidmore.
Confirming the new division, [PIAS] UK MD Peter Thompson told CMU: “We believe there’s a genuine opportunity to offer our repertoire owners a market leading service for sync and brand related business across Europe. [PIAS]’s ability to offer a cohesive package that understands the needs of our sync partners whilst adding value to initiatives through elements such as mobile and digital marketing will be a distinct advantage”.
