Phone conversations between the three men who planned to castrate and murder Justin Bieber have been made public, and feature Dana Martin, the initiator of the plot, talking to his accomplices about how the popstar and his bodyguard should be suffocated to death, and how the teen idol’s testicles should be removed.

As previously reported, the bizarre plot failed when Mark Staake, Martin’s former jail-mate, who was to organise the Bieber attack, was picked up by police in relation to some outstanding warrants. His nephew Tanner Ruane, also recruited to assist in the attack, then made contact by phone to Martin to discuss what to do next, and that call was overheard by prison officials.

In an earlier phone call, Martin is heard asking Ruane, “Did he [Staake] go over the Bieber thing with you?” Ruane responded: “Nah. The way I like to work dude, I like to know as little as possible”, but Martin was assured “he’s gonna use one of the things you gave him, and then he’s gonna take care of it”.

Taking care of it, according to prosecutors, referred to killing Bieber. “Tie it really tight”, said Martin, describing how to use a tie (or possibly scarf) to kill the singer and his security man, “and that cuts off all the oxygen, and then tie it in the back again, really tight, that seals the deal”.

Later discussing the castration part of the plot, Ruane told Martin that “we went and bought the hedge clippers – you’re gonna give me five large [$5000] for each one I get”.

The grim plot was set to take place in November last year before officials uncovered the plans and Martin confessed under questioning. According to reports, Martin, a convicted murderer and rapist, is obsessed by Bieber and has a tattoo of the star on his leg.
