Phenomenal Hand Clap Band to release some remixes
By CMU Editorial | Published on Monday 11 October 2010
Also doing the remix album thing on 1 Nov will be The Phenomenal Handclap Band.
Says the band’s Daniel Collas: “Listening to these remixes, I’m struck with the feeling that many of our originals have been completely reincarnated in the most literal sense of the term. Whether as a heavy dancefloor burner (The Stallions’ version of ‘Tears’), a mind-bending krautrock workout (Fujiya & Miyagi’s take on ‘The Journey To Serra da Estrela’), or ether soaked electro-rock (Coco Electrik’s ‘Dim the Lights’), our wayward songs are finally getting to live the lives we couldn’t provide for them”.
These are the remixes that will appear on the new album:
Tears (Stallions Remix)
15 to 20 (80Kidz Remix)
Baby (Clock Opera Remix)
All Of The Above (TH White Remix)
You’ll Disappear (Munk Remix)
Dim The Lights (Coco Electrik Remix)
Give It A Rest (Snack + C’mish Remix)
15 to 20 (Den Haan Remix)
Testimony (Cosmodelica Remix)
Baby (Virgil Howe Remix)
The Martyr (Live KEXP Session)
The Journey To Serra Da Estrella (Fujiya & Miyagi Remix)
