One Direction, two 2014 books
By Aly Barchi | Published on Thursday 16 January 2014
One Direction are to sign off on not one, not two – oh, actually, it is two – books in the coming months, the first a dark, dystopian graphic novel and the other a collection of sonnets. The best sonnets ever.
Only kidding, it’s only an autobiography and an official annual. Soz. The hardback autobiog, which hasn’t a title thus far, is slated to swamp shops in September, as a pull-out companion to 1D’s world stadium tour, and will – for the price of £20 – insists Natalie Jerome of publishing co HarperCollins, bring Directioners “even closer to the band by telling their story in the kind of depth we’ve not seen before”.
One can only imagine what depth. Natalie adds: “It’s a hugely exciting departure from the books we’ve published with them so far”.
A slightly more shallow annual, taking fans through into 2015, will come out in time for Christmas.
