Nicki Minaj’s waxwork in the Las Vegas Madame Tussauds museum is not being removed a month after going on display, as has been reported in some places. It has, however, been “adjusted”.

As previously reported, extra security staff had to be laid on around the waxwork, which features Minaj on all fours in a provocative pose inspired by her ‘Anaconda’ video, after a visitor took an “inappropriate” photo with it that subsequently went viral.

“We are taking immediate steps to ensure more staff are present in this area and that the set around this particular figure is redesigned so that a picture like this cannot be taken again”, said the museum at the time.

Despite this, reports began to circulate yesterday that the figure had been removed entirely. But, a spokesperson told Billboard: “Nicki Minaj’s wax figure has not been removed from Madame Tussauds Las Vegas. The set has merely been adjusted”.

So that’s that mystery cleared up. Now if someone could explain to me why people go to Madame Tussauds, that would be great. I mean, they queue right down the street for the one in London. I thought it was just waxworks in there, but do they give out free money or something as well?

In other Nicki Minaj-related news, a Northern Ireland man has been jailed for four months for making two prank calls to the emergency services on Christmas day last year. In one of the calls, he claimed to be Nicki Minaj and said that there was a ghost in his house. Neither of these things turned out to be true, and he was given a custodial sentence for breaching an existing anti-social behaviour order.
