New Order brew a beer
By Chris Cooke | Published on Wednesday 10 August 2016
New Order are the latest band to get themselves a beer. Which is to say they’re making a beer and selling it to fans. Not just buying themselves a beer at the bar. Which would be less newsworthy. Whereas a band making a beer and selling it to fans is definitely still newsworthy. Just.
Say the band of the new brew: “It’s been a pleasure to work with Moorhouse’s of Burnley on our first foray into the brewing business. Even more so that they’re celebrating their 150th anniversary, and have such a rich heritage in the North West”.
By the way, did I mention that the band have worked with the Moorhouse’s brewery in Burnley on the beer, which is called Stray Dog after the track on recent album ‘Music Complete’?
