A new music messaging app has launched in the US and Canada which aims to combine social music listening and on-demand streaming. It launches with catalogues cleared by all three majors and The Orchard, amongst others.

The messaging app allows users to embed songs into their chats, with 30 second clips available on the ad-funded free version. In order to play full tracks, they will need to pay $3.99 per month. Curated music discovery is also offered to those willing to pay.

Comments co-founder and CEO Mike Wagman: “We are excited to be bringing an engaging social music experience, with a vast music catalogue, to our community. Consumers are hungry for a music experience that makes it fun and easy to share and play music with their friends and with the community”.
