New Content Director at Magic
By Chris Cooke | Published on Thursday 16 January 2014
The London outpost of Bauer’s Magic franchise has a new Content Director, which I think is the new fangled way of saying Programme Director (certainly that’s been the trend elsewhere within Bauer’s radio business).
And the new recruit, confirmed earlier this week, is Liam Thompson, who joins the London station for Irish radio firm Communicorp where he had the embarrassingly old fashioned job title of Group Programme Director. He will now report into Bauer Radio London MD Steve Parkinson.
And here’s some quotes, sorry, story-relevant-content-submissions…
Thompson: “I am really excited at the prospect of working at Bauer Media and the opportunity to be involved with such an instantly recognisable and totally unique brand. From Neil Fox and Angie Greaves, to Denise Van Outen, Rick Astley and Kim Wilde, there is a wealth of talent and experience at Magic’s disposal and I can’t wait to get started”.
Parkinson: “We look forward to welcoming Liam to the Magic team. He brings extensive programming and creative experience and expertise to a very talented team. 2014 promises to be another great year for the station”.
