Nelson gets off drugs charge with modest fine
By CMU Editorial | Published on Thursday 9 June 2011
Willie Nelson has got off with a modest fine for those previously reported drug charges, which stemmed from when a border patrol in Texas found marijuana when they pulled over the country legend back in November last year.
As previously reported, the drugs charges hit the headlines when the County Attorney overseeing the case, Kit Bramblett, said he’d let the singer off if he came and sang in his courtroom. He later insisted that offer had been a joke, and told reporters yesterday: “He’s not coming, he’s not singing”.
Famous for his love of the weed, Nelson will pay a total of $787 to settle these latest drugs charges.
