Job ad: Streaming Startup – Marketing Executive (London)

We are a new music streaming platform aimed at the world of independent music set for launch later in 2018 and are looking for a Marketing Executive to join our team.

Our Marketing Executive will look after the planning and successful delivery of marketing activity across the early stages of our platform’s beta testing period, ICO launch and then work closely with a wider team on the delivery of a larger marketing campaign to support the launch of our full music streaming application later this year.

You’ll help to drive and increase subscribers and sign ups, increase brand awareness and positive association. You will be responsible for co-ordinating, monitoring and absorbing feedback from beta testers. You’ll be co-ordinating marketing activities with various internal and external departments such as business development, sales, design, PR, creative services and the cryptocurrency team. You’ll need to be passionate about music, digital media and have a knowledge or interest in cryptocurrency/blockchain.

You’ll be responsible for the following

• Consistent planning, reporting, measurement
• Managing the day-to-day marketing activities and social media
• Helping to set and achieve marketing objectives
• Helping to formulate, oversee and maintain external partnerships and relationships, including PR / media agencies, media partners
• Keeping up with marketing trends amongst competitors


• Artwork briefs
• Producing copy for social posts, promotion and the website

Website management

• Monitoring web performance and our sign-up queue
• Ensuring content is up-to-date and correct on the website
• Monitoring beta tester activity, feedback and issues

Social media and community management

• Social media management
• Strategising social content and rollout
• Monitoring campaigns
• Optimising social performance and ensuring the company is utilising best practice at all times
• Researching, exploring and investigating new platforms, trends and tech that can push the brand forwards
• Engaging in social listening and conversation
• Responding to all communication from consumers

Skills and attributes

• Proven track record of music / event marketing
• Entrepreneurial, enthusiastic, creative mindset
• Able to work within budget constraints effectively
• Interest in being part of a start-up, and everything that demands, working across disciplines and roles where necessary
• A love of Independent labels and music
• Knowledge of Cryptocurrency and Blockchain is a plus
• Organised, structured and able to communicate well in person or in written form
• Intellectually curious with a sharp eye for analytics
• Ability to present to a small audience would be desirable
• Literate in basic computer programs is fundamental. Any working knowledge of web languages would be even better
• Able to travel globally if needed
• Can work remotely if needed
