Erased Tapes Music is an independent music company that was founded in 2011 as the publishing arm of Erased Tapes Records. Erased Tapes Music represents an internationally acclaimed roster of contemporary classical composers and a catalogue of music which includes recordings by Nils Frahm, Ólafur Arnalds, Michael Price, Lubomyr Melnyk, Ben Lukas Boysen and Peter Broderick.

We are currently seeking a meticulous and highly organised individual to join our team as a part-time Licensing Assistant. Working in our London office and reporting to the company’s General Manager, the chosen candidate will oversee all aspects of catalogue administration, including musical works and live performance registrations, asset management, and cue sheet tracking to ensure compensation for all public uses of Erased Tapes music. You will also play an important support role for our creative team in preparing pitches and playlists.

We’re looking for a hard-working, creative team-player with a keen eye for detail and an expert ability manage information.

Tasks & Responsibilities
• Liaise with our administration partner, overseeing PRS song registrations (works, recordings, live shows).
• Organise and back up audio library and promotional assets (WAVs, mp3 files, stems, instrumentals, lyrics, photos, bios, videos etc).
• Oversee song keyword and metadata tagging.
• Manage general licensing inbox and respond to licensing inquiries.
• Assist with website updates and back end admin.
• Assist with administration and preparation of licensing contracts.
• Support licensing team on playlist creation and new client research.
• Ensure proper filing of production cue sheets.

Required Experience & Skills
• A passion for contemporary and classical music.
• Computer literate with an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• A proven ability to effectively organise large amounts of data.
• A keen sense of organisation and high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and team playing skills.
• An interest in soundtracks and sync licensing.

Desired Experience & Skills
• Previous experience with music copyright administration and preparation of licensing contracts.
• Ability to edit audio and video files.
• Experience working in the music industry at large.
• Understanding of basic HTML and web programming.
• Basic Photoshop skills would be a major asset.

• Mac OSX, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

Terms: 24 hours per week (3 days)
Location: London (E9)
Salary: DOE
