Erased Tapes Music is an independent music company that was founded in 2011 as the publishing arm of Erased Tapes Records. Erased Tapes Music represents an internationally acclaimed roster of modern classical composers and a catalogue of music which includes recordings by Nils Frahm, Ólafur Arnalds, Michael Price, Lubomyr Melnyk, Ben Lukas Boysen and Peter Broderick.

We are currently seeking a meticulous and highly organised individual to join our team as a part-time Copyright Administrator. Working in our London office and reporting to the company’s General Manager, the chosen candidate will oversee all aspects of catalogue administration, including musical works and live performance registrations, asset management, and cue sheet tracking to ensure compensation for all public uses of Erased Tapes’ music. We’re looking for a hard-working, creative team-player with a keen eye for detail and an expert ability manage information.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Maintain song and audio catalogue databases
• Organise audio files and promotional assets (WAVs, mp3 files, stems,
instrumentals, lyrics, photos, bios etc.)
• Assist with song keyword and metadata tagging and playlist creation
• PRS & PPL Registrations (works, recordings, live shows)
• Maintain archive of usage licenses, contracts, and videos
• Assist with website updates and back end admin
• Assist with administration and preparation of licensing paperwork
• Assist with maintenance of mailing lists
• Research and report illegal copyright usage online
• Ensure proper filing of production cue sheets

Required experience and skills

• A passion for contemporary and classical music
• Computer literate with an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• A proven ability to effectively organise large amounts of data
• A keen sense of organisation and high attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and team playing skills

Desired experience and skills

• Previous experience with musical copyright administration including PRS and PPL registration
• Ability to edit audio and video files
• Experience working in the music industry at large
• Understanding of basic HTML and web programming Systems

Mac OSX, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), FileMaker

Terms & Salary: 24 hours per week (3 days)
Location: London (E9)
Salary: DOE
