Famously altruistic pop sausage Miley Cyrus is to shower crowds on her 38 city ‘Bangerz’ world tour with gifts… or, as she puts it, “junk”. Essentially, she needs to get rid of all the shit she’s piled up since hitting it big as a child star, and isn’t keen to pay bin men to take it away.

Telephoning in the scheme at a recent press conference, Miley said: “I want to give my fans real things they can collect. I’m a little bit of a hoarder. It’s my mom’s worst nightmare. I hope my fans become hoarders also. I’m giving a lot of junk away… I’ll have things falling out of the sky that most people would sell at the merch table”.

“My thing has never been about me making money”, she said, clarifying: “I did that when I was a kid. I made the money I needed to make and now it’s about putting money into the tour and making sure my fans get the best show, making it worth going to see”.

Aside from all the old tat raining down, each 90 minute ‘Bangerz’ show will feature big “cartoonish” props inspired by ‘Ren & Stimpy’ creator John K, “imaginative” animal motifs, and, following the main bit, another acoustic bit that will “go on as long as I want”.

The tour starts in Canada on Valentine’s Day, moving over to Britain in early May.
