Miley Cyrus doesn’t do drugs

Miley Cyrus

Clean-living pop saint Miley Cyrus has denied gossip that that her recent hospital stay, which led to her cancelling several dates on her ‘Bangerz’ world tour, had anything to do with her taking too many ‘narcotics’. Because apparently she doesn’t actually do that. Just trades off singing about doing it, that’s all. And what’s wrong with that?

Miley, of course, got back on the ‘Bangerz’ grind on Tuesday night at The O2 in London, having taken a fortnight off from the tour after she contracted a sinus infection, and following that, had a severe allergic reaction to (“shitty”) antibiotics.

Speaking at a press meet on the eve of the O2 show, Miley said (via the BBC): “I didn’t have a drugs overdose, I’ve been laying in a hospital bed connected to IVs. I’m on a bunch of good vitamins and doing lots of yoga trying to get myself back together”.

She added: “My immune system was already low because I had a death in my family and was already down. What doesn’t make it better is that people were online saying I’d done it with drugs, but it’s all good. I’m OK and I’m here. I’m like a star ready to explode. I’m going to go off”.

So, in case anyone wasn’t clear on the fact that Miley Cyrus does NOT pop molly in real life, only fakes it for art’s sake, she had this to say: “I’m probably the only one on this tour who doesn’t drink or smoke before a show, as I take this really seriously. It’s almost like being an athlete being up here, because if someone was fucked up, they definitely couldn’t do my show”.

Fair. An extra Miley newsbite is this; that she’s been named as the first act on the bill at this year’s Capital FM Summertime Ball, which is at Wembley Stadium on 21 Jun. The end.
