Mark Goodier recovering from stroke
By Andy Malt | Published on Friday 18 November 2016
Former Radio 1 DJ Mark Goodier has had a stroke, it has been confirmed.
Goodier’s out of office reply for his email address at his production company Wise Buddah reads: “Thank you for your email. I am away from work for a time recovering from a stroke and so not seeing email every day”.
According to the Mirror, his continued recovery means that he will not now record the voiceover for the new ‘Now That’s What I Call Music’ album’s TV ad. Which is notable because it will be the first time in 25 years that Goodier hasn’t been the voice of the compilation series. Radio 1’s Matt Edmondson will take his place.
