Live Review: Marina And The Diamonds at The Great Escape 2010 on 15 May
By CMU Editorial | Published on Wednesday 19 May 2010
I was more than a little excited to see how Marina And The Diamonds fared in front of the crowded Concord 2 audience, with hundreds of fans desperate to see the undoubtedly talented Welsh star who has shot to fame rather suddenly in the last few months. It’s no surprise why – she has a beautifully distinct voice and a soothing unique tone that made her cover of ‘Starstruck’ gorgeous and unforgettable. Despite a few static moments, which stood out against the overall perfect energy of the show, Marina managed to convince anyone remotely critical of her ‘overnight’ success that she has every right to take the stage and perform like a true star. Brave, charming and totally mesmerising. JTP
