Live Nation to buy another management firm
By CMU Editorial | Published on Friday 16 September 2011
Live Nation continues to expand. According to Bloomberg, the live music giant is looking to expand its artist management interests through a significant acquisition of a rival management agency.
As well as its extensive interests in venue management, tour promotion and, through Ticketmaster, ticketing, Live Nation already owns major management player Front Line, which came to the live music conglom via its Ticketmaster merger.
Irving Azoff, who founded Front Line and is now Chairman of the wider Live Nation group, told an investor conference yesterday: “We are in the middle of an acquisition that we will announce Monday that is pretty major in the management area”.
